Tooling & mold build
Single-cavity, multi-cavity, family, and hot-runner tools built in-house. Gate location, cooling layout, and ejection are decided in CAD — not improvised on the bench when the tool is already cut.
MAIICY builds injection molds, runs production molding, and machines prototypes and low-volume parts for engineering teams in the United States and Europe. One project manager who answers in English, DFM feedback before we cut steel, and pricing that holds.
Most projects start as a 3D file and end as a pallet of parts at your dock. We handle the steps in between — tool design, tool build, sampling, molding, finishing, and inspection — so you are not coordinating five vendors across three time zones.

Production runs on 50 t to 1,600 t presses, in engineering resins and glass-filled grades. Every new tool leaves with a recorded process window and first-article data.
Machined and printed prototypes that fit, look, and function like the production part — so you can test the design, put it in front of a customer, or run a pilot build before committing to steel.
Bridge production between prototype and molding, service parts, and one-off fixtures. No tooling cost, no minimum order — machined from billet, bar, or sheet stock.
A tool is only as good as the shop that cuts it. Put faces on the machines that will run your parts — your own photos, not stock imagery.
Glass-filled nylon wears a cavity differently than ABS does. We spec the steel, gate size, and draft off the material — which is why we ask what the part has to survive before we quote the mold.
| Material | Typical parts | What it means for tooling |
|---|---|---|
| ABS | Enclosures, housings, handles, consumer electronics | Forgiving flow, good surface, plateable. The default when impact and cost both matter. |
| PC / PC-ABS | Power tools, automotive interior, electrical covers | Needs drying and higher melt temperature; PC/ABS buys heat and impact at a lower price than straight PC. |
| PA6 / PA66 +15–50% glass fiber | Structural brackets, gears, housings under load | Abrasive. Hardened or nitrided steel, larger gates, generous draft, and a plan for maintenance. |
| POM acetal | Gears, bushings, latches, precision mechanisms | Holds tight tolerance and slides on itself; poor bonding, so avoid it where over-molding is planned. |
| PP | Living hinges, caps, chemical-contact parts | Low cost and chemically tough, but low surface energy — decoration and bonding need a primer or flame treatment. |
| TPU / TPE | Grips, seals, grommets, over-molded surfaces | Usually run in a second shot or as separate parts; bonding to rigid substrates must be designed in. |
| PMMA acrylic | Lenses, light pipes, display covers | Optical clarity demands a polished SPI A-grade cavity and careful handling of the tool. |
| PBT / PET | Connectors, electrical housings, sensors | Fast cycles and stable dimensions; good fit for high-volume electrical parts. |
SPI A1–A3 (high gloss), SPI B1–B3 (semi-gloss), SPI C1–C3, SPI D1–D3 (matte), plus MT-11010 / 11020 / 11030 and VDI 3400 grades from a texture sample.
Pad printing, laser etching, ultrasonic welding, heat staking, insert molding, and clean assembly with the parts packed to your requirement.
Masterbatch matched to a Pantone or to your existing part, UV stabilizers, flame retardants, and FDA-grade grades for food-contact applications.
Send the resin grade or the performance requirement — we will tell you if it is the wrong choice before you pay for a tool.
You get a named contact and a written status at each stage — not a vague “it is in production” three weeks after you ask.
Send STEP, IGES, X_T or a 2D drawing with quantities. Within one business day you get pricing plus a DFM note: wall thickness, draft, gate marks, undercuts, and anything that will cost you money later.
Fixed pricing with the tool and the part split out. Lead time starts on deposit and confirmed files. NDA signed before your files move anywhere.
3D mold design goes to you for sign-off before steel is cut. Then cavity work, electrode machining, spotting, and assembly — with photo updates at key stages.
First trial parts ship to you with dimensional data and a material certificate. You approve, or we adjust the tool and run T2. The tool does not go to production until you sign off.
Molding runs to the recorded process window, with in-process checks and pre-shipment photos. Air freight for urgent lots, sea or rail for volume — DDP or FOB, your call.
US and EU buyers usually do not need more promises — they need dimensional data and a tool they can take elsewhere if they ever want to. Both are standard here.
Molds are built to your part, invoiced to you, and can be transferred to another molder — or shipped to your own plant — when you ask. No lock-in, no tool hostage.
Prototypes and machined parts start at one piece. For molding we look at the part and the tool instead of quoting a blanket MOQ — a family tool or a single-cavity tool changes the break-even completely. Typical production runs sit between 500 pieces and 100,000 pieces a year, and we will tell you when molding is the wrong answer and machining is cheaper.
You do, once it is paid for. We build it to your part, and we will arrange packing and shipping to your plant or to another molder on request. We do not hold tools as leverage.
Air freight for samples, prototypes, and urgent lots; sea or rail for volume production. We can quote DDP to your door or FOB if you prefer to use your own forwarder, and we can ship directly to your contract manufacturer instead of to you.
Send a STEP/IGES/X_T file or a 2D drawing with annual quantities and target material. You get pricing and a DFM note within one business day. Complex tools with several parts may take two.
3D: STEP, IGES, X_T, STL, or native SolidWorks. 2D: PDF or DWG with critical dimensions, tolerances, and finish callouts. If you only have a drawing, we can model the part — that cost is quoted separately.
Yes, before any file changes hands. Send yours, or we can issue a mutual NDA.
Typically 50% on tooling order and 50% before shipment for the first production run, then terms are negotiable on repeat volume.
No sales gatekeeping and no three-day wait for a “we received your inquiry” email. Every RFQ is read by a project engineer and answered with pricing plus a DFM note within one business day.
